The first lockdown weekend was finally upon us and the true social distancing can finally begin, as we decided to go on an afternoon walk.
Meeting our local friends, we walked a public footpath Jack and I walked before the words “social distancing” had ever been uttered, but we felt it a suitable walk for this Saturday.
Starting in our nearest local park, it takes us along a bridal path towards a local horse stables, golf course and farm until we reach and then follow an old train-line (The Nickey Line) that runs from Harpenden to Hemel Hempstead. We came out in a residential area with the plan to end up at the same Tesco Express from our quest yesterday. For Tilly and Tom to have their own adventure.
After a long, windy walk where we all attempted to remain 2 meters apart, we finally said a distant goodbye to Tilly and Tom, and Jack and I were alone once again.
With the spare time in our evenings, we have both been engrossed in the popular short-form video app TikTok, therefore our evenings can now be summarised by “scrolling”.
We’re so glad to have the internet.
